Analysis of Highly Non-linear Deformations Due to Mining Activity with Dinsar: Psic4 Test Site
نویسنده
چکیده
DInSAR techniques with multiple images are aimed to extract the deformation series from a selected scene using a set of interferograms acquired in different temporal instants. The detection of highly non-linear deformation patterns is a demanding issue for these techniques. In order to get a high quality and reduced set of interferograms, a new selection method is proposed based on a Minimum Spanning Tree algorithm. Furthermore, two developments on the multiple image DInSAR algorithm Coherent Pixels Technique (CPT) are presented in order to improve non-linear component extraction: a multilayer processing which iteratively adds quality layers of selected points and a temporal block processing. Results on the Gardanne test site (France) are presented.

Tropospheric Heterogeneities Corrections in Differential Radar Interferometry
Differential radar interferometry (DInSAR) has been used more and more widely to monitor crustal deformations due to underground mining and oil extraction, earthquakes, volcanoes, landslides, and so on. However, tropospheric heterogeneities have been identified as one of the major errors in DInSAR, which can be up to 40cm as derived from dual-frequency GPS measurements in the example given in t...
متن کاملInvestigation of linear and non-linear estimation methods in highly-skewed gold distribution
The purpose of this work is to compare the linear and non-linear kriging methods in the mineral resource estimation of the Qolqoleh gold deposit in Saqqez, NW Iran. Considering the fact that the gold distribution is positively skewed and has a significant difference with a normal curve, a geostatistical estimation is complicated in these cases. Linear kriging, as a resource estimation method, c...
متن کاملMethodology for Detection and Interpretation of Ground Motion Areas with the A-DInSAR Time Series Analysis
Recent improvement to Advanced Differential Interferometric SAR (A-DInSAR) time series quality enhances the knowledge of various geohazards. Ground motion studies need an appropriate methodology to exploit the great potential contained in the A-DInSAR time series. Here, we propose a methodology to analyze multi-sensors and multi-temporal A-DInSAR data for the geological interpretation of areas ...
متن کاملIntegrated Radar Interferometry for Ground Subsidence Monitoring
This paper reports the progress of the ongoing ESA CAT-1 project (ID 1078). Radar interferometry (InSAR) has been used together with GIS (Geographic Information System) technique to monitor ground subsidence due to underground mining in a test site around the Appin township, southwest of Sydney, Australia. Various digital elevation models (DEMs) are assessed using elevation profiles from ground...
متن کاملDevelopment of a site-specific regression model for assessment of road-header cutting performance of Tabas coal mine based on rock properties
In underground excavation, where the road-headers are employed, a precise prediction of the road-header performance has a vital role in the economy of the project. In this paper, a new model is developed for prediction of the road-header performance using the non-linear multivariate regression analysis. This model is able to estimate the instantaneous cutting rate (ICR) of roadheader based on r...
